This cocktail is a creation of the Barock Bar in Regensburg Germany. It is a beautiful variation of the classic Gin Sour combines basil, cucumber, gin and wasabi paste.
It may sound like someone just put some greens into the blender. In reality this an incredibly fresh summer drink that combines Mediterranean and Asian influences with the aroma of cucumber water.
What comes out is literally the perfect companion for every warm summer evening.
Gins that pair well with cucumber and basil suit this drink nicely.
For instance, Hendrick’s with the touch of cucumber in it, or even Celery Rutte with its celery notes.

- 2/3 oz basil syrup
- Cut thin cucumber slices and briefly rub them together.
