Before the Mai Tai took over as the king of Tiki cocktails, that title belonged to the Zombie cocktail. But so good is this drink, that it has become a classic rum drink that is loved around the world.

Equipment

  • Shaker
  • Tumbler or Tiki Mug
  • Citrus juicer

Ingredients

  • 60 ml dark rum
  • 30 ml lime juice
  • 15 ml triple sec
  • 10 ml sugar syrup
  • 5 ml almond syrup

Instructions

  • Place the all the ingredients with 3 ice cubes in a shaker and shake vigorously for 6 seconds.
  • Strain on crushed ice in a tumbler or a Tiki mug.
  • Top up with a little crushed ice.
  • Garnish with a spring of mint.
