There are drinks that everyone knows, the so called classics. These are divided into old classics (Negroni, Mai Tai, Martini etc.) and modern classics (Bramble, Espresso Martini or Gin Basil Smash). Every really serious bartender knows these drinks and mixes them too. They are part of the standard program of international bar cards. It’s a little different with the Rosemary Mango Gin Fizz. We have tasted this cocktail in some good bars in Europe. The story behind this Gin Fizz twist is by no means earth-shattering, but sometimes beautiful things simply happen.
If you like this recipe, then take a look at other cocktails with rosemary. We will love to get your feedback!
Rosemary Mango Gin Fizz
- 50 ml London Dry Gin
- 30 ml fresh lemon juice
- 20 ml mango syrup
- 1 sprig of rosemary
- Soda water
- Heat the rosemary a bit beforehand so that it can release its essential oils.
- Place all ingredients in a shaker and shake vigorously on ice.
- Serve in a tumbler on ice.
- Top off with with a little soda to add the fizz as desired.
Any classic London Dry Gin is suitable as a gin for this drink. Since there are two very dominant flavors with rosemary and mango, it should perhaps be a more straightforward gin that does not overpower the highlights of this cocktail.
Tanqueray London Dry Gin
We think that any gin that is simple and does not deviate from its London Dry status is a good fit for this cocktail. The first on our list of recommendations is Tanqueray London Dry gin.
