Manufacturing and botanicals

What does it smell like?

The smell of Tanqueray Gin is surprisingly mild for our noses. Given the relatively strong 47.3%, this would not have been expected. We smell licorice root, anise, juniper and a clear hint of lemon and orange peel. The smell is straightforward and harmonious, but also has no special highlights.

How does it taste

The Tanqueray London Dry also initially appears moderate in the mouth. You can feel the increased alcohol content here, but it is not the focus. Tart notes of juniper, which are increasingly flanked by bitter citrus peel notes, become more obvious with time. After this heaviness evaporates, the taste of licorice, citrus peel and fir wood remains in the mouth.
