Put the balsamic vinegar and sugar in a saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir continuously. Add lemon juice and keep aside to cool down.
Put the gin in the glass and fill with ice to the brim.
Cut ginger and strawberries lengthways into thin strips and stick to the inside of the glass rim.
Pour in tonic water. Place the basil in the hole hand and clap it once with the flat hand to release the essential oils.
Stir the gin and tonic twice with a spoon handle. Put the ginger and basil in the glass at the top.
Slowly pour the balsamic syrup into the glass from above and stir 4 times with a spoon handle.
